Who We Are:The Williamson County Art Guild is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The Guild is organized and operated for educational and charitable purposes. Its specific focus is to stimulate interest in art in Williamson County, Texas through art exhibits, artists' programs and sponsorship of scholarships and workshops. Our members consist of people of all ages interested in promoting and participating in creative visual arts and crafts.
Our Mission:Underlying every Art Guild effort have been the goals of promoting interest in and encouragement of creative expression through education. WCAG's history demonstrates that the goals and aspirations of its founders continue to be achieved enthusiastically and creatively by its members.
We are here to:Aid in the Development of skills and artistic abilities of our young people and community members interested in visual arts by providing workshops, seminars and allied activities. Provide an opportunity for artists and artisans to publicly display their artwork. Offer You the opportunity to participate by becoming a member - regardless of your skill levels or area of artistic interest.
Our Meetings:Our monthly meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of every month, except for July & August, promptly at 6:30 PM in the Georgetown Public Library.
A typical meeting agenda consists of a presentation from a featured artist who is well known in the art community, followed by a short Guild meeting consisting of announcements about up-comming shows and gallery submissions, the treasurers report, and finally the members will share and show thier interpretations of the "challenge theme" art works.
Our meetings are free to the public.
