Robert Theriot resides in Cedar Park with his wife and four children. He provides for his family as a Field Service Engineer whereas he maintains and repairs CAT scan machines. However, he has always been artistically inspired and believes that God intended him to be an artist. In 2005, Robert began teaching himself visual arts by reading books from the library and has developed his skills in illustration as well as oil painting techniques. The artist has painted commission portraits but confesses that he enjoys the freedom that a landscape painting offers.

"I have always loved the outdoors and the emotional influence of beautiful countrysides. While in the woods in East Texas as a boy, I remember telling my father... 'I'd rather be holding a camera than this gun'. It all makes sense to me now that I'm older and although I haven't produced art all my life, I have always been artistic. Whether a portrait or a landscape, hopefully my paintings capture the personality of a person or the peacefulness of a landscape we often overlook in everyday life. With my artwork, I am living a childhood dream and I truly regret not having started sooner."
