Everything you need to know about the
Williamson County Art Guild's Blog
The WCAG has established a blog for its members to share their art, post comments about what they're doing and share general information that would be of interest to other members. It's also a way to get to know more of your fellow members ... through their art! Click this link to go directly to the blog and once you're there, be sure to add it to your browser's "Favorites".

Remember that with blogs, the newest posts are always at the top, so if you want to read things in the order in which they were posted, you need to read from the bottom up.

There is no charge to join in the fun on this blog. This is a free service to the first 100 members who sign up. Anyone, even non-members may make comments about the posts on the blog, but if you'd like to participate in this blog by making posts of your own, you will need to become an author. The following are the steps necessary to be accepted. If you are already blogging somewhere else, you may skip down to Step #3.

Step #1 Get an account with Google.
You are not required to use your Google account for your everyday email, but just having an account is a requirement for the other steps.
When applying for your Google account, it is advisable that your user name be that by which you are known to other Guild members. That way those who might not know you can get to know you much quicker.
Click this image to go to a live screen that will enable you to complete that function.

Once you have your account, it's a good idea to stay logged into it and not "log out". That way it will reopen itself each time you turn on your computer and you will always be ready to post to the blog.

Step #2 Sign up with blogger.
This will provide you with what's called a "dashboard", which gives you easy access to the features you will need to post information on the blog.

The email address will default to the one created in Step 1. You may change that by clicking on "Use a different account".

For "Your name" and "Display name" it's advisable to use the name by which you are known to other Guild members.

"Email notifications" are your option, but could provide helpful information at a later time.

There must be a check in the box after "Acceptance of Terms".

Step #3 Request to become an author
khwitmer@juno.com Send an email to the webmaster to request being made an author.
You will recieve an email back sending you an invitation.
Once you "accept" the invitation you're ready to start blogging.
