Charles (Chuck) Roush

Retired after 31 years with IBM in 1992 and started a one-man corporation specializing in business show logistics. Retired from that in 1996 to do what he has wanted to do for many years.... learn to paint in oils. He has taken instruction from local artists in oils, watercolor and pastels. Chuck has sketched and drawn for his own relaxation most of his life. He works in graphite, charcoal, ink, watercolor, oil, pastel, and the heat set products of Genesis and D'UVA.

Chuck is a member of and has served on the Boards of the Williamson County Art Guild (WCAG), the Central Texas Pastel Society (CTPS), and the Natural History Club. He also teaches drawing at the Williamson County Juvenile Justice Center as a volunteer since 1997, and in 2000 started an art class at the Academy portion of the Center. He has participated in judging youth art at Georgetown High School and grade schools, and annually for the Sertomia 4th of July children's art competition.

In 2003 Chuck was voted the Vounteer of the Year by the Partners in Education (PIE). He has demonstrated Genesis Heat set oils for American Clay Company in Austin at Miller Blue Print, and in San Antonio at Herwicks, and for general knowledge to the Williamson County Art Guild, the Logo Vista Artist Association, Lampasses Art Guild and anyone who will listen.
